Thursday marked the end of my third trip to the Empire City this year, and wonderful it was. I began my tour at Parkside Lounge, one of the first venues I visited back in January and one where I was invited to perform as the featured artist in February. On Sunday, I played at The Bitter End, the legendary stage where some of the industry's best have performed over the years. And on Wednesday, I was happy to return to an East Village favorite, The Late Late, where NYC's John Mato hosts the Quarterly Art Soirée.
Then there were the pleasant surprises: performing with Richie Cannata, Billy Joel's saxophonist for years, singing a spontaneous set at East Village Social, and doing a duet with NYC's The Lullaby Girl at Rockwood Music Hall.
Already, I am looking forward to returning again soon.
