Stay current with Zaib on the roads of music
Opening up for the Sunday Jazz Festival again at City Winery Atlanta was a treat, and I’m grateful to everyone who came out and supported our music with listening ears. We are lucky to have great music venues like the City Winery in Atlanta, and a special thank you to Chuck for inviting us to[…]
I want to thank Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and First Lady of Atlanta Sarah Elizabeth for inviting me to perform at the Hathaway Art Gallery this past weekend. We had a great time playing, and we hope you had as much fun as we did. Wishing you all the best on the final stretch in[…]
Last night at the City Winery Atlanta was one to remember. One of my musical influences, Martin Sexton, put on an incredible show to a full house, singing his soulful originals from Black Sheep all the way to his most recent album Mixed Tape. After the show, I had the opportunity to meet him in[…]
It’s a lively spot for live music, the Apache Cafe in downtown Atlanta. Every Wednesday the house band hosts a Jam Session for vocalists and musicians, and the talent there was impressive. Some old friends were on stage setting up when I walked in, and by eleven o’clock the place was standing room only. It brought back memories of an earlier[…]
Yesterday was fun playing at one of the several restaurant tops of Atlanta. The downtown’s Hilton Atlanta houses the French restaurant Nikolai’s Roof, and we really enjoyed performing for the evening. Thank you Wellstar for having us!
Sunday afternoon at the City Winery Atlanta was a show that reminded me why I love to sing. Thank you to everyone who came out, everyone who sang along with our band, and everyone who showed so much love after the performance.
When you write a song from the soul and then you bring together the right musicians, producer, engineer, and studio staff, you get music that moves the soul. This is how I felt in the wee hours this morning when my brother and I were chaired in rolling seats inside the control room of Studio[…]
After twelve hours in the studio Monday, a full-band rehearsal in the control room, dozens and dozens of takes and retakes in the live room and iso booth, four pizzas in the lounge and two one-liter cokes, walking tours through the halls and history of Cove City, we created magic. It’s a place where music[…]
Home to tracks cut for artists like Ray Charles, Whitney Houston, Marc Anthony, Mariah Carey, and Dream Theater, Cove City Sound Studios has been recording some of the industry’s top artists for decades in the quiet hamlet of Glen Cove, and for the next few days here, I feel fortunate to be recording a new[…]
Thursday marked the end of my third trip to the Empire City this year, and wonderful it was. I began my tour at Parkside Lounge, one of the first venues I visited back in January and one where I was invited to perform as the featured artist in February. On Sunday, I played at The[…]
