Stay current with Zaib on the roads of music
It is without wonder why this Beverly Hills institution is regarded as one of the world’s best-known hotels, where the stars, celebrities, and icons of all stripes stay, dine, and unwind. After performing in Los Angeles for several days in a row, it was really nice to unwind in the Polo Lounge with friends and strangers. Although I wasn’t able to[…]
How music takes you to places you belong, but never knew existed, is part of the thrill in this industry. After performing at El Cid, my brother and I hopped in an Uber to skip across town to a place called The Baked Potato. As LA Weekly reports, “the Potato specializes in jazz fusion and[…]
New winds, I’m starting to feel, usher in new words for your experiences. This has been my time so far in the City of Angels. Here in the backyard of Beverly Hills, at my brother’s and his roommate’s apartment, I have written four new songs. Years have passed since I have been able to write[…]
Off to the back of the famous Canter’s Deli lies a dim quaint bar with a long history. It’s called the Kibitz Room, an LA establishment that opened its doors in 1961 to offer artists and musicians a stage to perform. When the 1990s rolled around, jam sessions began in earnest, and soon the walls[…]

This is my first trip to the City of Angels—Los Angeles—where I am excited about performing a few shows around town, and, of course, soaking in the sun.
Opening up for the Sunday Jazz Festival again at City Winery Atlanta was a treat, and I’m grateful to everyone who came out and supported our music with listening ears. We are lucky to have great music venues like the City Winery in Atlanta, and a special thank you to Chuck for inviting us to[…]
I want to thank Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and First Lady of Atlanta Sarah Elizabeth for inviting me to perform at the Hathaway Art Gallery this past weekend. We had a great time playing, and we hope you had as much fun as we did. Wishing you all the best on the final stretch in[…]
Last night at the City Winery Atlanta was one to remember. One of my musical influences, Martin Sexton, put on an incredible show to a full house, singing his soulful originals from Black Sheep all the way to his most recent album Mixed Tape. After the show, I had the opportunity to meet him in[…]
It’s a lively spot for live music, the Apache Cafe in downtown Atlanta. Every Wednesday the house band hosts a Jam Session for vocalists and musicians, and the talent there was impressive. Some old friends were on stage setting up when I walked in, and by eleven o’clock the place was standing room only. It brought back memories of an earlier[…]
